Actually, Annapurna trekking has been broadly recognized as a naturalist’s glory. In 1968 Nepal’s King Mahendra Trust for Nature Conservation founded the Annapurna Conservation Area Project. The upper sub-alpine plain environment holds some of the endangered snow leopards, blue sheep etc. Moreover, the region conserves bird species like- multi-colored Impeyan, blood pheasant, kokla and the like as well as different butterflies and insects. Additionally, the conservation area has numerous varieties of orchids and various rhododendron forests in the world. Here, from thousands of years diverse ethnic groups have spent a livelihood out of its sheer hillsides.
Trekking to Annapurna Region can start and finish nearby Pokhara which is a peaceful spot to end after beginning or completing one of the memorable trek. Also, with its guesthouses, rental shops for necessary equipment and relaxed transportation too attracts tourists in this region. Likewise the great views of the Annapurna Himal along with nine other peaks above 7000m towers from its walls and Annapurna I rises above all at 8091m. It is an area of striking diversity, extending from the drenched bamboo forests of the south slopes to desolate desert in the northern rain shadow.
