Day 01: Reach at Kathmandu via airlines and transfer to respective hotels.
On reaching at Kathmandu international airport where you will be greeted with warm welcome by High Five Adventures staff and guides, and then transfer to your hotel where you will be joined with other members of Churen Himal expedition, here our guide and group leader will information and brief with wide information regarding the trek and climb of Churen Himal.
Day 02-03: In Kathmandu optional tour and preparation for Churen Himal.
With free days in Kathmandu for necessary preparations where you will be busy packing and purchasing necessary required equipments for the expeditions, on last final day in Kathmandu with final briefing regarding the climb including do’s and don’ts, where our expert climbing guide will provide much information and items required for the climb.
For interested people can join in city tour around Kathmandu at places of interest, as Kathmandu valley full of world heritage sites of impressive historical and cultural monuments.
Day 04: Drive to Pokhara 950m - 06 hrs journey distance 220 k.m.
Morning travel by tourist coach or in private vehicle over the busy scenic highway towards amazing picturesque Pokhara valley driving through the Himalayan foothills, on arrival at Pokhara transfer to respective hotels nearby beautiful Phewa Lake with afternoon free for short walks.
Flying options 30 minutes of scenic flight to Pokhara.
Day 05: Drive to Darbang via Beni 900 m - 06 hrs.
From Pokhara, our journey continues on drive to Beni town and beyond to a farming town at Darbang after driving past Kusma and Beni town and following Mygdi River all along to reach Darbang, a busy market village and a starting point of Churen Himal, Dhaulagiri-Dhorpatan and Dolpo trekking.
Darbang a small farm village slowly turning into a town, after motor road has been completed from Beni and Pokhara, at Darbang for overnight stop by the Mygdi River in a local simple lodge.
Day 06: Trek to Dharapani 1,560m - 05 hrs.
The trail along the Mygdi River is prone to landslides during the monsoon season and there is much up and on to bi-pass sections of path that have been disrupted.
Walk continues to follow the river upstream passing through several small settlements after 3 hours or less of good walk arriving at a large interesting village of Darbang, where we might stop for lunch depending upon the time of our walk.
After lunch, cross the Mygdi river over the suspension bridge, as our trails winds up gradually for an hour up to Phedi meaning bottom of the hills or pass, after leaving the river behind a steep climb of one and half hour reaches us to the cooler region at the ridge, then a short easy walk will brings us to the village at Dharapani, a stunning views of Churen, Putali and Ghurja the western peaks adjoining Dhaulagiri massif.
Day 07: Trek to Mure 1,700m. 5-6 hrs walks.
From Dharapani, walk follows through farm lands and to the snout of a ridge where Dhaulagiri Himal is visible. Then our walk descend towards Gatti Khola, and then two hours of steady climb leads to a large Magar tribe village at Mure for overnight camp, located at the confluence of Mygdi and Dhara rivers.
Day 08: Trek to Mattim 1,560m - 05 hrs.
Our route skirts around and descends to the warm areas of paddy fields on a partially penetrated by the tributary Dhora Khola. After crossing Dhora Khola, the main path ascends the hill side, passing the rural farm houses, and goes through a hamlet to an up and down mountain path then skirt around the ridge. The path continues winding steep uphill for two hours and coming at the top of the ridge, the path descends gradually to a small farm village at Mattim after 4-5 hours of good walk.
Day 09: Trek to Lumsung 1,676m -06 hrs.
From this small village walk leads to higher area passing farm terraces with grand views of Churen and Puttali Himal, the walk is on gradual path for sometime leading into a forested areas with occasional sight of Languor monkeys, walk leads past Cattle herders shades till our walk ends at a small farm village in Lumsung for overnight stop.
Day 10: Trek to Gurjagoan 1,840m - 06 hrs.
After a nice and pleasant morning, our walk starts with uphill climb passing past farmers and Sheppard’s shades as the walk leads through millet grown terrace the air gets cooler as the altitude gain into forest with great views of the Churen Himal and Dhaulagiri I.
After a nice trek of more than five hours reaching at a small farm village which is the last village towards Churen Himal base camp area.
Day 11: Trek to Darsing Kharka 2,550m - 05 hrs.
On leaving the last village towards Darsing Kharka, walk leads with uphill climb on a narrow path, this area is seldom visited by trekkers and by climbing expeditions, this area used only by Sheppard’s and local wild-life hunters, around this wilderness chances of spotting some wild animals like Himalayan Thar, Blue Sheep and other wildlife with Danfe (Impeyan Pheasant) National bird of Nepal, walk leads to on rocky ledges and forest till Darsing Kharka is reached to set overnight camp.
Day 12: Trek to Bundzunge Kharka 2,940m - 05 hrs.
The path climbs for few hours then reaching a gorge with deep valley into patch of tree lines and then reaching a open wide area, from here onward tree line disappears for rhododendron bushes with few small birch and juniper trees.
Walk leads to an open field near a small stream fed by Churen Himal glaciers where we will set camp.
Day 13: Trek to Churen Himal Base Camp 3,675m - 04 hrs.
The walk leads to an open area at the foot of Churen Himal and from this angle the mountain looks marvelous and stunning with other peaks of Puttali and Dhaulagiri towards the east side, our walks continue with a steep climb for a while till
It ends at the base of Churen Himal, afternoon free for an excursion around this unexplored area of pure wilderness.
Day 14: At Base Camp acclimatization and preparation for the climb.
A free day for necessary preparation for the climb to the summit of Churen Himal, from here an hour walk leads towards the glacier of Churen Himal where our Advance and High Camp will be pitched little further above the glacier.
Day 15: Trek to Advance or High Camp 4,160m -04 hrs.
The advance party can proceed towards high camp as the climb leads towards moraine and glacier to cross few frozen streams, climb leads towards rock and ice boulders on reaching a clear space where we will set Advance Camp for this classic and technical climb to the summit of Churen Himal at 7, 370 m high.
Day 16-30: Reserved 15 days for an ascent of Churen Himal and back to base camp.
Churen Himal from the West Face has been climbed by Japanese climbers since then there have been several expeditions from this route, where some has acclaimed success and most climbers found this peak as a killer mountain just like Annapurna I, Nanga Parbat in Kharakorum Himalayan range, due to this reason as well for safety measure we have reserved 15 days for the climb.
The first camp will be set around 2 or 3 days and the next camp II and III between weeks; remaining days will be used for proper preparation to summit on this tough Churen Himal ascent.
Day 31: Back at Base Camp.
Where all party should reach at base camp by today, and as well for cleaning up the camp and surrounding area, and with packing all the gear, equipments for return journey.
Day 32: Trek back to Darsing Kharka - 07 hrs.
Today a long walk downhill with few ups and back into tree lines after a successful ascent on top Churen Himal, one of the most toughest and technical peak climb.
Walk leads into lovely forested area with views of peaks as the day ends back at Darsing Kharka.
Day 33-36: Trek to Dharapani via Gurjagaon and Mattim.
We have allowed four days to reach back at Dharapani on return journey with overnights in Gurhagaon-Mattim-Lumsang on downhill walks through farm villages and forest area to reach at Dharapani or little further to make next day journey shorter.
Day 37: Trek back to Darbang and drive back to Pokhara -07 hrs.
After a great overwhelming adventure on top of Churen Himal and around complete wilderness of mountains and glacier, today will be pleasant short walk back at Darbang where our trekking ends with a drive back to scenic Pokhara past Beni town.
On reaching at Pokhara transfer to respective nice hotels for overnight stop by the Phewa Lake.
Day 38: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu.
Morning a scenic drive to Kathmandu, after a wonderful memorable adventure around North West Himalaya with successful Churen Himal Expeditions, on reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure.

Day 39-40: In Kathmandu for individual activities.
Two days as contingency or spare days in case of delay on climb due to bad weather and other technical difficulties, today enjoy the free day relaxing and busy sorting out climbing equipment, where our leader and guide will submit expedition’s reports to concern Nepal Government department.
On this free day, you can join in our guided tour where you can witness ancient culture and heritage sites around Kathmandu valley.
Day 41: International departure for home ward bound.
Churen Himal Expeditions completes today in Kathmandu, as per the time for your international flight homeward bound or to next respective countries and port of call, transfer to airport with mesmerizing and exciting adventure with High Five Adventures and its cheerful friendly guides and staff.
