Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is interesting cultural and heritage within a small hidden valley of Annapurna region. This valley is small in area but every trekker became fan with its beauty. These routes lead us to breathtaking scenery to mid west Himalaya of Nepal. Our main destination is Poon hill (3,210 m). It is very famous view point of Annapurna region. It offers us awesome panorama of 360° angle view of giant mountain range and stunning sunrise views above them. It includes world’s 7th highest peak Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), 08th highest Mt. Manaslu at (8,163 m), 10th highest Annapurna (8,091 m), Annapurna Fang, Annapurna South (7,219 m), Gangapurna (7,455 m) and Annapurna III (7,555 m) and Mt. Machhapuchare (Fish-tail 6,790 m).

Our trekking to Ghorepani Poon Hill begins with a drive up to Pokhara. From pokhara we take drive for an hour up to Nayapool. From here we start our hiking to Ghorepani. Our settling destinations are Tikhedhunga, Ghorepani, Tadapani and Ghandruk village. Gurung and Magar community people are local origin of this valley. We can learn their local culture and tradition interacting with them. In Ghandruk village we will visit the museum of gurung community people. Unknowingly our days are past in this valley. Lastly our trek ends at Nayapul and from here we drive back to pokhara and to Kathmandu.

In summer season the whole hills turns into magic blooming with different varieties of Lali guras (National Flower). This scene will obviously make us happy. High 5 Adventures Pvt. Short Itinerary:

Day 01:  Arrive in Kathmandu 1,315m | 4,270ft and transfer o hotel.

Day 02:  In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour at places of interest.

Day 03:  Drive to Pokhara 820m | 2700ft – 06 hours drive.

Day 04:  Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tirkhedhunga 1,450 m – (2hrs ride and 04 hrs walks).

Day 05:  Trek to Ghorepani 2,840m – 05 hrs

Day 06:  Morning hike to Poon Hill at 3,210m for sunrise and trek to Tadapani 2,520m – 05 hrs.

Day 07:  Trek to Tolka 1,700 m via Ghandruk 1,940 m – 05 hrs.

Day 08:  Trek to Nayapul – 5 Hours, and drive back to Pokhara – 1 Hour

Day 09: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu afternoon free at leisure.

Day 10: International departure homeward bound.

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1,327 m and transfer to hotel.

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport our representatives from High 5 Adventures Pvt. Ltd. will welcome you. He/she will asset you and transfer you to hotel for your overnight.

Day 02: In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour and trek preparations.

Today, you will do day tour in Kathmandu valley. In morning time you will visit Pashupatinath (oldest and holy Hindu temple), Bauddhanath (Buddhist temple known as little Tibet), and Swayambhunath (monkey temple). Finishing this we return for lunch. After lunch you will visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan durbar square. In Kathmandu durbar square you will visit Kumari temple (temple of living goddess).

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara 820m - 06 hrs of 220 k.m. distances.

Taking breakfast in morning, we drive to Pokhara. By 7 to 8 hours we reach Pokhara in bus. You can also take flight. It takes about 30 minutes. Reaching on Pokhara we explore the city of lakes in remaining time. Finishing this we will return back to hotel for our night and make preparation for remaining tour.

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tirkhedhunga 1,450 m - (2hrs ride and 04 hrs walks).

Now we have started our walking trek to Ghorepani Poon hill. With a drive of 1 hour we reach Nayapul. It is our starting point of our trek. From here we start our real walk along the bank of Modi Khola. This brings us to Birethanti (1015 m). Continuing our trial through village we climb continuously uphill to Hille (1495 m). Like this we reach Tikhedhunga (1577 m) for our night.

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani 2,840 m - 05 hours.

Having breakfast we continue upward to Ulleri (2070 m). Ulleri is a large village of Magar community people. From this point our trail ascends more gently fine through the forests of oak and rhododendrons. Our rest point will be Banthanti (2250 m). Resting for some time we resume our walk to Ghorepani (2840 m) for our night.

Day 06: Morning hike to Poon Hill 3,210m for sunrise, walk to Tadapani 2520mm.

Waking up early morning we hike to Poon Hill (3210 m). It is best viewpoint in the Annapurna Region. We are offered with phenomenal panorama of the beautiful peaks. Annapurna and Dhaulagiri is included. Poon Hill is regarded as the Photographer’s paradise. Spending few moments we return back to Ghorepani. Having breakfast we continue our trek. We climb ridges through the forest of pines and rhododendron. This will bring us to Deurali (2960m). From here we eventually trek down to Tadapani (2610m) for our night.

Day 07: Trek to Tolka 1,700 m via Ghandruk 1,940 m - 05 hrs.

We begin our steep downhill. We walk through the forests of rhododendrons. Morning walk is easy on downhill trail. Our lunch point will be Ghandruk Village. It is large settlement of gurung community. Resting some moment we continue our walk to through Modi River side. Finally we will be in Tolka for our night.

Day 08:  Trek to Nayapul – 5 Hours, and drive back to Pokhara – 1 Hour

Today is our last day walk and it is going to be quite easy in walking as we just need to trek in easy trial. We walk to Birethanti for our lunch. It takes about 5 hours. Our trek can be considered as the most relaxing walks of the entire Annapurna. Upon reaching Nayapul, our vehicle will be waiting for us. Finally we will drive back to Pokhara for our night.

Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu - 06 hrs evening farewell dinner.

Completing our trek now we drive back to Kathmandu. It takes about 7 to 8 hours. You can also take flight to Kathmandu. It will just take about 30 minutes. Reaching on Kathmandu, you can do last minute shopping in Kathmandu. At night we celebrate Farewell Dinner together with the trekking team.

Day 10: Final International departure homeward bound.

Now it’s time to say good bye to the Kathmandu. Your journey in Nepal comes to an end today. You are transferred to the airport for your returning flight. Have a safe journey. Hope you will return back to Nepal again.
