Helambu Circuit trek

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and check-in to Hotel

After landing flight at TIA, representative of High Five Adventures will warmly receive you. We will move towards the hotel. We will enjoy delicious dinner at night. After dinner we will give brief description of the program to Helambu Circuit Trekking.        

Day 02: Full Day Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu Valley

Today, we spend our day by sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley with guide. We will visit Pashupatinath, which is regarded as the holiest temple of Lord Shiva, Bauddhanath known as Little Tibet and to Swayambhunath known as Monkey Temple. From Swayambhunath, we drive to Kathmandu (Basantpur Durbar Square). Finally, we return hotel and prepare our trek for tomorrow.

Day 03: Drive to Sundarijal and Trek to Chisapani (2300m) – 5 Hours

We drive to Sundarijal in the north east of the Kathmandu valley. We then climb uphill through the Shivapuri National Park. We will pass through several villages on the way. After walking few hours we will reach to Chisapani. We will be offered with wonderful views of different mountains from Chisopani. We stay overnight at a lodge.

Day 04: Trek from Chisopani to Kutumsang (2446m) – 7 Hours

After having breakfast, we continue our trek towards Kutumsang. We will walk uphill and downhill whole day. Gulbhanjyang which is the Sherpa, Tamang and Gurung settlement is passed while walking. The cultural aspects of the local ethnic people are shown by Gulbhanjyang. We will head to Kutumsang by crossing the jungle and terraced fields.

Day 05: Trek from Kutumsang to Tharepati (3650m) – 6 Hours

Early morning we climb up in a steep and eroded trail through the forest of rhododendron and fir. As we reach Tharepati, the beautiful sunset in the Jugal Himal and Numbur Himal ranges in Solukhumbu and the awesome views of Helmbu Valley below can be seen. After viewing all this view we will come to hotel to stay night.

Day 06: Trek from Tharepati to Tarkegyang (2560m) – 6 Hours

Our trail goes downward slightly before climbing.  From here we can enjoy the spectacular views of Annapurna and the Everest regions. Our path goes through the forests of pine and rhododendron and reaches tiny settlement of Tarkegyang. In Tarkegyang, you can visit one of the oldest Buddhist Monasteries and Sherpa villages.

Day 07: Trek from Tarkegyang to Sermathang (2610m) – 4 Hours

Early morning after having breakfast our trail goes through flat land. We pass through the beautiful forests and small streams. After reaching Shermathang, we will visit beautiful village. We can see several ancient monasteries and the beautiful views of Jungal Himal Range. Our night will be cool at Sermathang.

Day 08: Trek from Sermathang to Melamchi Pul Bazaar – 4 Hours

Today our trail gradually descends only until reach to Melamchi Pul Bazaar. We will walk through meadows and cultivated fields. We will cross several old villages overlooking the quite pleasant views of great mountains. Our night will be one of the best guesthouses.

Day 09: Drive from Melamchi Pul Bazaar to Kathmandu

After having breakfast, we travel along a bumpy gravel road from Melamchi Pul Bazaar to Lamidanda. We will follow the metaled road up to Kathmandu. On reaching Kathmandu, you can go for last minute shopping. Our night will be interesting at a hotel.

Day 10: Final Departure

After having a night rest at Kathmandu, we will pack our luggage to march ourselves towards the international airport of Nepal. We have to reach at airport 3 hours before the flight. We will attend a small farewell program organized by High Five Adventures After then we will catch the flight to return back to the home country. We hope, while returning back to home country you will think for a re visit to Nepal. We hope for your better journey.
