Langtang Tamang Heritage Trek Langtang Tamang Heritage trek is one of the longest trekking routes of Langtang region. This route is becoming popular day by day because of the glorious views of its surrounding. Maximum route of our trek goes along the path of Langtang National Park. Natural beauty, hospitality, friendly and unity of Tamang community people are the main attraction to Langtang Tamang heritage trekking. Places of Langtang Tamang heritage are situated at high altitude. Cultivation is more difficult so maximum people are involved in animal rearing. Sheep and yak are the animals which are reared in this place. Sky touching mountain, beautiful forest of bamboo, rhododendron, and conifer with sounds of animals & bird and view of waterfalls will surely mesmerize you. Our eyes will be the witness to view the entire spectacular scene in Langtang heritage.

Langtang Tamang Heritage Trek from Syabrubesi. Villages of this region are close to Tibet. Because of this, we can see most of the people of this region are following the religion, Tibet. Gatlang, Tatopani, Thuman, and Briddim are some of the villages which we will pass in our trek. Kyangjin Gompa is our main viewpoint destination. We will be so familiar with the people during this trek. After roaming all the villages of Tamang heritage of Langtang region we will return back to Syabru Besi and drive back to Kathmandu to end our trek. March, April, May, October and November are the most favourable months to do trekking in the route of Langtang Tamang heritage trekking. Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu

After landing flight at TIA, representative of High Five Adventures will warmly receive you. We will move towards the hotel. We will enjoy delicious dinner at night. After dinner we will give brief description of the program to Langtang Tamang Heritage trekking.  

Day 02: Kathmandu exploration and preparation for trek.

Today, we spend our day by sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley with guide. We will visit Pashupatinath, which is regarded as the holiest temple of Lord Shiva, Bauddhanath known as Little Tibet and to Swayambhunath known as Monkey Temple. From Swayambhunath, we drive to Kathmandu (Basantpur Durbar Square). Finally, we return hotel and prepare our trek for tomorrow.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1462m) – 8 Hours

Early morning we will have breakfast and take a drive to Syabrubesi for about 5 to 6 hours. The panoramic view of the roadside houses and forest will be very enjoyable. In Syabrubesi spectacular places around the valley will be very interesting. The night will be at one of the best hotel at Syabrubesi.

Day 04: Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2200m) – 5 Hours

From Syabrubesi, we will walk toward Gatlang. Our journey pass through the forest of pine, juniper and many more species of trees are the amazing things in this place. We will climb until and unless we reach summit deurali and Gatlang. Our night will be interesting at Gatlang. 

Day 05: Gatlang to Tatopani (2607m) – 7 Hours

Gatlang village is biggest Tamang village of that region. From Gatlang, we will descend towards Tatopani through the terraced farming area. Our path goes through pine and bamboo forest. We will continue to rise from the Thambuchet and Gang- Gong then only we will reach to Tatopani. Our trek of today will be for about 6 to 7 hours.

Day 06: Tatopani to Thuman (2400m) 6 Hours

At Tatopani, we will wake up early and bath at natural hot water. After bathing we will have breakfast and continue our journey toward Thuman. Rhododendron and oak forest will be our main path. We can see mountain range in our way. Then we will descend towards the Thuman. Our night will be cool at Thuman.

Day 07: Thuman to Briddim (2345m) – 6 Hours

Our trekking route from Thuman to Briddim goes up and downs from the beginning. We will have opportunity to interact with the local Tamang people. From the exploration, we will be familiar with tradition of Tibetan people following Buddhism religion. From Pelko, the way goes much easier to Briddim. Our night will be interesting at briddim.

Day 08: Briddim to Lama Hotel (2500m) – 6 Hours

From Briddim, we will walk toward lama hotel. We will walk to Lama Hotel and the route goes through the dense forest of pine. After walking about 1 hour, we will be at Khamjing village land of potatoes, barley and wheat. We can see Lauribinayak pass onwards to Gosainkunda with the Langtang Lirung. The trail will passes through the Sherpa gaun, Rimche, and finally to lama hotel. The night will be at lama hotel.

Day 09: Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3307m)– 7 Hours

We will continue our journey towards the Langtang village. The glimpse of Langtang Mountain from view point is very beautiful. We can see the cultivated areas of buckwheat, potatoes, wheat, barley, etc by spending some of our valuable time. After that we will go to hotel to stay our night.

Day 10: Trek to Kyangjin (3798m) – 4 Hours

Today our trek leads us to Kyangjin. From Langtang we gradually climb up to the small villages and yak pasture land to Kyangjin. Government operated cheese factory can be seen in this place. After reaching Kyangjin, we will spend our leisure by exploring around the Kyangjin. Then we will return back to hotel to spend our night

Day 11: Kyangjin to Lama Hotel 5 hours

We will trek downward to lama hotel which is easy but a bit long way. Same thing that we have seen while going up but from different prospects can be seen while returning. Hence our trek goes downward to Ghodatabela, have lunch. After having the lunch, we will continue to lama hotel to stay our night.

Day 12: Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi 5 hours

Early morning, we will return back to Syabrubesi in very energetic way from lama hotel. Our trekking route goes through the glorious forested area with beautiful flowers and smell coming from them. We will slowly walk and unknowingly we will reach Syabrubesi. We will stay our night at Syabrubesi.

Day 13: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu

We will wake up early in the morning and see the dazzling view. We will have a short visit over Syabrubesi and return back to Kathmandu. We will return by driving back to Kathmandu. It will take about 5 to 6 hours. We will spend our leisure time in visiting Thamel area. The night will be relaxing at hotel of Kathmandu valley.

Day 14: Farewell

After having a night rest at Kathmandu, we will pack our luggage to march ourselves towards the international airport of Nepal. We have to reach at airport 3 hours before the flight. We will attend a small farewell program organized by High Five Adventures After then we will catch the flight to return back to the home country. We hope, while returning back to home country you will think for a re visit to Nepal. We hope for your better journey.

  • Airport Pick up drop (Airport /Hotel/Airport) by private car/van/Bus. Hotel in Kathmandu: Two night's tourist standard Hotel in Katmandu with breakfast basis. Welcome dinner and farewell dinner in Kathmandu
  • Meals During Trek: Your standard meals in mountain (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) during the trekking. Tea or coffee four times a day in cup during the trek
  • Kathmandu valley sightseeing (Kathmandu Darbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa, Bouddhanath Stupa and Pashipati Temple
  • Accommodation In Trekking: All accommodations in lodges/tea houses during the treks.
  • Trekking permit: 'Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) Permit. And Everest National park permits Toilet paper during the trek
  • All necessary paper works.
  • Domestic airport pick up and drop by car or Van.
  • Guide: An experienced, helpful and friendly Guide, Porters: Experience Trekking Porters (1 porter for 2 clients). And all Their well-paid Salary, Food, Drinks, Accommodation, Transportation and Insurance for the Guide and Porter.
  • Adventure Certificate: Our Company provides Adventure Certificate.
  • Arrangement of emergency helicopter service which will be paid by your travel insurance company. Medical supplies (first aid kit will be available).

  • Nepal entry visa fee (you may easily issue the visa upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport - Katmandu). Your Travel and rescue insurance.
