Day 01: Reach at Kathmandu via airlines and transfer to respective hotels.
On reaching at Kathmandu international airport where you will be greeted with warm welcome by High Five Adventure staff and guides, and then transfer to your hotel where you will be joined with other members of Pisang Peak, here our guide and group leader will information and brief with wide information regarding the trek and climb of Pisang Peak.
Day 02: In Kathmandu optional tour and preparation for Pisang Peak Climb.
With free days in Kathmandu for necessary preparations where you will be busy packing and purchasing necessary required equipments for the trek and climb, on last final day in Kathmandu with final briefing regarding the climb including do’s and don’ts, where our expert climbing guide will provide much information and items required for the climb.
For interested people can join in city tour around Kathmandu at places of interest, as Kathmandu valley full of world heritage sites of impressive historical and cultural monuments.
Day 03: Drive to Syange 1,140m | 3,740 ft via Bhesisar (by bus) - 06 hrs.
Pisang Peak adventure starts with an interesting overland drive towards Nepal mid west, leading to Bhesisar town (headquarter of Lamjung district). From here transfer to another vehicle and continue drive on dirt road passing villages of Khudi, Bulbule and Ngadi following the Marysangdi River upstream.
Drive continues through rice terraces fields and villages to Syange a small village for overnight stop in the comfort of nice lodge.
Day 04: Trek to Dharapani 1,943m | 6,374 ft - 06 hrs.
From Syange our walk begins with climb leaving Marysangdi River behind reaching at Jagat village, a farm village with many lodges for trekkers.
After Jagat walk leads on winding path to Chamje, and back at Marysangdi River crossing to east side into forested area, with super views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges.
As the walk continues reaching a nice village at Tal Besi, from here another 3 hours walk leads to our overnight stop at Dharapani village.
Dharapani a nice village located on a junction of Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trekking trail.
Day 05: Trek to Chame 2,720m | 8,923 ft - 05 hrs.
After Dharapani walk leads into rhododendron and pine forest passing villages of Bagachap and Danque, then at Timang village with more Buddhist cultured village including views of
Mt. Manaslu 8,163m / 26,781ft. From Timang village few hours trek leads to Koto and then to Chame town for overnight stop, Chame a large major town of Manang area and a head quarter town of the district.
Day 06: Trek to Pisang 3,190m | 10,465 ft - 05 hrs.
From Pisang onwards walk leads close to mountains through alpine forests of rhododendron and pine trees, following Marshyangdi River upstream with short ups and down hills to Bhratang village. From Bhratang village walk follows uphill through alpine woodland to Dhukure Pokhari a small place with few teahouses and lodge overlooking Chulu’s and Pisang peak, with possible lunch stop, and then descends to lower Pisang village for overnight stop.
Day 07: Rest day at Pisang for local hikes and acclimatization.
We have allowed rest day in Pisang village for acclimatization and as well for physical fitness required for the climb to Pisang Peak, a short hike uphill walking higher and sleeping at low altitude helps with acclimatization.
This rest day also helps to plan the climb where our guide provides necessary information of the area, culture, religion and climbing skill required for the climb.
Day 08: Trek to Pisang Peak Base Camp 4,380m - 04 hrs.
After a pleasant rest day in Pisang village, our actual adventure starts heading north above Pisang village, as the tree lines drops for short few bushes around grazing land, called Kharka. Climb a high ridge above Pisang peak, our guide and staff will set base camp with camping equipments at 4,380 meters high, first night in tents meals prepared by our expert cook and kitchen staff.
Day 09: Trek and climb to High Camp 5,400 m - 03 hrs.
A short day but tough due to high altitude, morning walk follows a faint trail where few climbers and Yak herders hardly use this path to high camp, as the walk leads over rocks, ice and glacier to reach bottom of Pisang Peak where high camp is set for the climb.
Afternoon our guide will scout the area for safe accessible route to the summit fixing ropes and making ice ledges where necessary, High Camp situated on long ridge of Pisang Peak, under some conditions this area may be under snow, afternoon free to sort the gear with preparation for the early morning climb.
Day 10: Climb Pisang Peak and return to base camp time permitting to Pisang village.
Our main highlight and goal of this adventure, starting at dawn climb over moraine and rubble within ice, following the guide to reach above well defined ridge towards a snow slope, which leads quite steeply without any difficulty but needs some technical efforts in some sections of the climb, and then finally reaching on top of Pisang Peak summit with great support of our guide. On the top rewarded with awesome views and panorama of entire Annapurna Himalaya with Chulu range of peaks includes Damodar peaks.
After a great climb to the top at 6,091 m / 19,984 ft high, descend back safely to base camp, as time permits and in good physical shape after the climb head downhill to Pisang village.
Day 11: Reserve day in case of bad weather condition.
High Five Adventure always reserve an extra day in case of unfavorable bad weather conditions, if all goes well this spare can be used on the way before Thorang-la or on route Jomsom.
Day 12: Trek to Manang (3,540m | 11,614ft) - 04 hrs.
Morning catching views of mountains, from Pisang village beyond altitude gains as the walk leads through forest with short uphill and views of Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu’s and Pisang peak. Walk downhill to reach flat valley at Hongde village, from here onward tree lines fades for barren, arid landscapes with cold, dry arctic climate.
Before Manang, visit old Braga monastery with old Buddhist relics, ancient wall painting and frescos and stunning views of Annapurna Himalaya, from here an hour walk reaches at Manang village.
Day 13: Trek to Yak Kharka 4,210m | 13,812ft - 04 hrs.
After a pleasant time with rest at Manang, walk towards Ghunsang village with short uphill to reach at Yak Kharka, an interesting walk with views of snowcapped mountains, on crossing a small stream reaching Yak Kharka for overnight stop, a small settlement with views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.
Day 14: Trek to Thorung- La High Camp or Phedi (4,450m | 14,450ft) - 04 hrs.
Morning walk lead to more high elevation getting closer at the base of Thorang-la after crossing a bridge with a climb along the river bank of Jarjung, finally walk leads at Thorung Phedi, here depending upon the physical conditions of the clients, if all goes well an hour steep climb to Thorang High Camp for overnight stop.
Day 15: Trek to Muktinath 3,800 m via Thorang -la at 5,416 m - 06 hrs.
From Thorang high camp, walk leads to our adventurous journey heading higher with fantastic mountain views of Chulus’ peaks, Gangapurna-as far to Damodar Himal.
After few hours of strenuous climb reaching the top of Thorang-la pass festooned with thousands of Buddhist prayer flags and sign board of Thorang-La and its heights.
Probably this is world highest trekking pass with amazing panorama of surrounding mountain scenery, after a short break our adventure continues with downhill to reach at another phedi (bottom) with few tea-shops, after a short rest continue walk on gradual level path to reach holy Muktinath around Lower Mustang area.
On reaching Muktinath a holy spot for both Hindus and Buddhists the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’. Located on serene environment where one take a drive to Jomsom and beyond to Beni / Pokhara. Overnight at Muktinath just little further for temple area where fine lodges and Inns are located.
Day 16: Trek to Jomsom (2,725m | 8,940ft) - 04 hrs.
From Muktinath, walk is easier on gradual downhill to Kaligandaki river valley, past Jharkot an interesting village of strong Tibetan influence, and then reaching on a flat river bed of Kaligandaki valley on the way to Jomsom town, headquarter town of Mustang district with a small airstrip above Kaligandaki River.
At Jomsom overnight stop in a nice lodge, where you can celebrate the last night dinner among crews and other members. Jomsom and surrounding areas of Kagbeni-Marpha to Tukuche famous for apples and its products like juice, cider and brandy.
Day 17: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara (9,00m | 2,952ft) transfer to your hotel.
Early breakfast then transfer to Jomsom airport for scenic short flight of 25 minutes to Pokhara, during airborne awesome views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiris and Annapurna range of mountains with rolling hills and villages,
On reaching Pokhara airport transfer to respective hotels by the lake Phewa, afternoon free for individual activities or just relax and enjoy the views of the Annapurna Himalaya.
Day 18: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu.
Morning a scenic drive to Kathmandu, after a wonderful memorable adventure on Pisang Peak, on reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure, option by air 30 minutes scenic flight to Kathmandu.
Day 19: In Kathmandu for individual activities.
A free day in Kathmandu to relax and as well for individual activities and shopping or join in our guided tour where you can witness ancient culture and heritage sites around Kathmandu valley.
Day 20: International departure for home ward bound.
Pisang Peak Climb and Trek completes today in Kathmandu, as per the time for your international flight homeward bound or to next respective countries and port of call, transfer to airport with mesmerizing and exciting adventure with High Five Adventure and its cheerful friendly guides and staff.
